Air quality levels remained poor across much of the Mid-Atlantic early Saturday after smoke from massive wildfires in Canada billowed into the United States and spread across much of the country. In D.C., air quality index values registered at 175 between 4 and 5 a.m. — in the unhealthy or very unhealthy category there for the 30th straight hour.
