Thames Valley Police has confirmed the road traffic collision this morning (Saturday, July 18) with one eyewitness describing it as “serious” and saying that a car was “upside down in the road”.
It happened next to Blewbury Service Station, run by Shell, on the intersection of London Road and Bessel’s Way.

Thames Valley Police has since confirmed that the road will remain shut while the vehicles are recovered and that there were only minor injuries.
A spokesperson said: “This is a two vehicle road traffic collision. Thankfully, minor injuries. The road is blocked while the vehicles are recovered.”
The incident has not yet been reported by the AA although it is showing congestion in the area.
