Prediction, pick for Austin Bashi vs. Jose Delgado at UFC OKC

Two rising Featherweight prospects, Austin Bashi and Jose Delgado, will face each other in the featured bout of the Prelims at tonight’s UFC Fight Night in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bashi, 24, has a 14-1 record with nine finishes in his MMA career so far and is coming off his first UFC victory against John Yannis. Delgado is 11-2 with 10 finishes and is 8-1 in his previous nine contests.
Check out my best bet for Austin Bashi vs. Jose Delgado at UFC OKC below.
Delgado got back in the win column via a split decision against Andre Fili in March. That was his first decision win of his career, as his previous 10 wins had come by submission or knockout. In nearly the first four years of Bashi’s MMA career, he was 13-0. Then, in his UFC debut, Bashi lost to Christian Rodriguez but bounced back with an excellent win against Yannis in August 2025.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, the odds are close, as Bashi is a slight -115 favorite with Bashi being a -105 underdog in this contest. This fight is -160 to not go the distance and +120 to last the scheduled 15 minutes. In this fight, Delgado is taller by five inches (5’11” vs. 5’6″) with a three-inch reach advantage (73″ vs. 70″).
Delgado has the edge on the feet while the fight favors Bashi on the ground. Bashi averages 7.81 takedowns per 15 minutes at a 41 percent rate, which is 6.30 more than Delgado. Delgado lands 7.48 significant strikes per minute compared to Bashi’s 1.75. But Bashi only allows 2.34 significant strikes, which should help defend Delgado’s offensive attack. If Bashi is relentless in his takedown attempts, he should be able to get this fight to the ground. Even though Bashi is the smaller fighter, he could use that to his advantage, with his quickness making it tough for Delgado to connect.
