HOUSTON – Reports of flight disruptions at Houston’s Bush Airport tied to a United Airlines system issue have now been resolved, according to the Houston Airport System.

Earlier, travelers posted on social media — including on X — about problems with United flights, including delays and other disruptions. We also received viewer emails reporting issues.

Both United Airlines and the Houston Airport System told KPRC 2 the system is operational now. “Our operations are returning to normal after an early morning technology issue affected functions including contact centers and check-in processes,” the airline told KPRC 2.

Even with systems back up, some delays can linger as flights and crews get back on schedule. If you’re flying today, check your United flight status before heading to the airport and allow extra time.
