Facebook Marketplace Rolls Out New Meta AI Selling Tools

Selling on Facebook Marketplace just got a lot less tedious. Meta has introduced new AI-powered features designed to make listing items faster and simpler, whether you’re decluttering, furnishing a new place or just clearing out the closet.
Facebook Marketplace has connected buyers and sellers for a decade, with more than 3.5 million listings posted daily across the US and Canada. The platform remains especially popular with young adults navigating moves, apartment setups or wardrobe refreshes.
Sellers can now upload item images and let Meta AI handle the rest, automatically drafting a listing, filling in item details, and suggesting a price based on similar listings in the area.
Shipping gets simpler too. Sellers can now offer shipping directly on their listings, generate prepaid shipping labels in just a few clicks, and track every shipped order from a single dashboard.
Buyer communication is also getting an AI boost. New auto-reply tools let sellers respond to inquiries about availability using information already pulled from their listing, like description, pickup location and price. These replies can be enabled, previewed and edited right during listing creation.
Meta AI is also generating profile summaries to build trust across transactions. Buyers now see an overview of a seller’s Facebook profile at the top of their Marketplace profile, including how long they’ve been on Facebook, their number of friends, and a summary of their Marketplace activity like listing history, item types and seller ratings.
Meta says more updates to the Marketplace experience are on the way.
