FIRST ALERT | Waves of showers & storms set to impact us this weekend

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – Good Friday night everyone!

TONIGHT: Rain and thunderstorms will be with us late tonight into the start of the overnight before clearing out and leaving us with mild and muggy temperatures in the mid to upper 70s.

TOMORROW: Saturday will see periodic showers and storms across the entire area with torrential rains, gusty winds and frequent lightning. It will not be a washout and there will be plenty of dry hours, but there will also be plenty of stormy hours. Have the rain gear handy and a backup plan for any outdoor activities. Highs will be in the low 90s outside the rain.

LOOKING AHEAD: Sunday & Monday will keep the same trend with waves of showers and storms bringing torrential rains, gusty winds and frequent lightning but also there will be plenty of dry hours. Some localized flash flooding issues will be possible. All of this is because of the low-pressure system sitting and spinning in the Gulf. This has a low end chance of actually becoming something tropical. But regardless, impacts are still expected in the form of waves of showers and storms. Highs remain in the low 90s outside the rain.
