Fletchers’ Family Farm: Kelvin shares series four update
After years of living in the city, Oldham-born Kelvin Fletcher swapped urban life for the countryside to pursue a new career in farming.
The change came after he lifted the Strictly Come Dancing glitterball trophy in 2019 alongside professional partner Oti Mabuse. This later led the TV actor to showcase his farming duties on his hit ITV show, Fletchers’ Family Farm, which first launched in October 2023.
The series has given viewers an insight into Kelvin’s new life on the land, a fitting twist given he previously played farmer Andy Sugden in Emmerdale. Since swapping acting for agriculture, he appears to have embraced his new role with ease.
The family’s move proved popular with viewers too, with the first series of Fletcher’s Farm becoming a huge success.

Kelvin and his wife, Liz, took over a farm in the Peak District in 2022, where they now balance running the 120-acre property with bringing up their four children Marnie, Milo, and twin boys Mateusz and Maximus.
The family’s move proved popular with viewers, with the first series of Fletcher’s Farm becoming a success. Their home is located in the scenic Cheshire village of Wincle, close to Macclesfield and on the doorstep of the Peak District National Park.
Talking about his move, Kelvin told Manchester Evening News in 2024: “It has been everything we wanted and more. It’s chaotic but we thrive on it.
“I’ve always loved the outdoors and countryside and I always had a bit of a dream and a vision of bringing up our family on our own farm. Who would have thought it? Playing a farmer and now here I am.”

Although the farm isn’t open to visitors regularly, Kelvin and Liz have welcomed the public to special events over the years. They have previously organised open days, including a festive event at Christmas, where tickets were available to book.
The couple first invited visitors onto the farm in 2023 for a spring lambing experience, which Kelvin later described as an “amazing experience”.
The family welcomed visitors back in 2024 for a special Easter-themed event. While there has been no announcement about a Christmas event this year, there are currently no public visiting dates available. Last month, it was announced that ITV has commissioned two new series of Fletchers’ Family Farm following its standout success, with 6.3 million streams on ITVX so far this year.
