Tom Homan blames ‘pathetic and disgusting’ Democrats’ ICE attacks for ruining his grocery runs

Border czar Tom Homan on Monday blamed “hateful rhetoric” directed at ICE agents for why he needs a security detail to go grocery shopping, calling the attacks lobbed by Democrats and Trump administration opponents “pathetic and disgusting.”

Homan, who has overseen immigration crackdowns since two United States citizens were killed by federal agents in late January, claimed critics are dehumanizing ICE agents by comparing them to Nazis.

“Guys, ICE agents are moms and dads, too. They don’t hang your heart on a hook every day to do this job,” an irate Homan told reporters Monday afternoon at the White House. “And it’s not just attacking the ICE agents, it’s an attack on their spouses and children, and no one knows that better than me.”

“I can’t even go get a quarter of milk at a grocery store without a security detail. Why?” Homan said. “Because I’m enforcing the laws in this country.

“It’s pathetic and disgusting,” the border czar added before walking away from the media scrum.

Homan’s comments were criticized on social media.

“Unhinged lunatic,” tweeted the popular Wu Tang is for the Children account on X.

“What a snowflake,” added another.

Some said the criticism against ICE agents is warranted.

“No other person who was in your position felt this way. Know why? Deportations and law enforcement were done ethically and legally. Stop whining and crying, Tom. Absolutely no one feels sorry for you or the ICE ‘agents’ that you’ve let loose on the streets with little training,” one user said.

“Perpetual victimhood and hypocrisy is the lifeblood of maga,” added another.
