Live Nation’s content crew wants fans for a documentary. Filming happens at the Wednesday, July 22 concert at RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto. Motley Crüe’s team set up a Google form to gather responses from ticket holders, with interest in finding people who’ve followed the group for years.
This documentary will focus on the fandom around Motley Crüe. Similar projects were made about My Chemical Romance, Pierce the Veil, and Ghost.
Toronto’s concert is part of The Return Of Carnival Of Sins tour. Two milestones get celebrated here: the 20th anniversary of the 2005-2006 Carnival Of Sins tour and the band’s 45th year together.
Back in 2005, the original Carnival Of Sins Tour blended grit with humor and raw energy, pushing the boundaries of what live performances could be through daring stage design and wild theatrics. Now, two decades have passed, and audiences will witness a fresh take on that concept with different songs mixed into the performance.
The team behind this project wants conversations with fans heading to Toronto’s show. They’re also searching for fan forums and online groups to consult.
Live Nation produces this North American run. Thirty-three cities across the U.S. and Canada will host concerts this summer, with Tesla and Extreme joining as opening acts.
The Motley Crue Giveback Initiative directs $1 from each ticket to ASAP! (After School Arts Program). Federal grants supporting music classes in schools have been slashed, putting millions of children at risk of losing access to arts education and creative experiences. ASAP! works to support young people with hands-on programs in music, art, writing, theater, and play.
The tour started on Friday, July 17, in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. Buffalo, New York, hosted it on Saturday, July 18. Clarkson got the show on Monday, July 20, and Gilford follows on Thursday, July 24.
Dates stretch into September. Kansas City, Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City all get stops. The final performance happens Sept. 26 at Cascades Amphitheater in Ridgefield, Washington. So, Motley Crue fans have plenty of dates to look forward to on this trek.
