5 Emmerdale spoilers for tonight as Charity is left devastated again

Emmerdale spoilers follow from Wednesday’s episode (22 July), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet.

In tonight’s Emmerdale, Charity has another meeting with Helen – but doesn’t get the outcome that she’s been hoping for.

Meanwhile, Cain receives some upsetting news of his own, and Serena conceals a secret agenda as she continues her efforts to get close to Ross.

1. Charity’s left distraught by Helen’s decision

Mack worries that Charity could have been given false hope after meeting Helen, one of Dr Todd’s other victims.

When Helen pays a visit to the village, she speaks further about Todd’s crime and the impact it had on her life afterwards. However, despite knowing it could help Charity’s case, Helen reveals that she’s decided not to go to the police after all…

2. Kyle struggles without Cain’s support

Kyle is struggling to master the skills he’s being taught at Cadets and fears that he’s falling behind the other boys. He tries asking Cain for help, but receives dismissive responses from his dad.

Cain is keeping Kyle and Moira at a distance as he focuses his efforts on getting help for Monty the dog – but are his priorities all wrong?

3. Cain deals with more bad news

Moira tries to help Cain realise that there’s no miracle cure for Monty, in light of the prognosis that Paddy previously gave for their beloved pet.

When Cain ultimately learns that Paddy was right and Monty’s tumours are inoperable, how will he cope?

4. Serena manipulates Ross

ITV

Serena goes on a casual date with Ross at The Hide – and seems particularly interested in questioning him about his job at Home Farm.

Why is she so interested in the goings-on at Kim Tate’s mansion? For now, her motives remain unclear…

5. Kev goes overboard with Lewis

ITV

Kev prepares for Lewis’s birthday by bombarding him with gifts, eager to make up for all the years he wasn’t around to celebrate with his son.

It’s not long before Lewis starts to feel overwhelmed, though…
