LEGO Shrek Minifigures are here! LEGO have officially unveiled its next Collectible Minifigures (CMF) series, which will be Shrek-themed, featuring characters from the Dreamworks Animation classic from a Land Far Far Away!
71053 Shrek Collectible Minifigures will be officially released on 1 September 2026, and as always, these Collectible Minifigures will be sold in mystery blind boxes (although you can typically use a Minifig Scanner to tell what’s inside), and each full box usually comes with 3 Complete sets.
This is the first licensed LEGO Minifigures theme of the year, following on from Series 29 which released in May, and Series 28 which was released in January 2026.
Here’s the list of characters introduced in the Shrek CMF Series. With Shrek being a staple in internet memes and a beloved movie from the 2000s, I can see this one being incredibly popular, especially when paired with the larger 72423 Shrek, Donkey & Puss in Boots which released in June 2026.
There’s also a Shrek 5 movie coming in 2027, which will hopefully reintroduce Shrek to a whole new audience.
