Katie Holmes seems to have a deep appreciation for beautiful things, including her buff rumored boyfriend, Jason Bard Yarmosky. Per People, the duo were spotted shopping together in New York Wednesday. They were photographed strolling around midtown while chitchatting, smiling, and carrying a lot of bags. Holmes looked comfortable in a breezy white button-up, while Yarmosky, a visual artist, went for a pair of baggy jeans that reminded me of ’N Sync in the late ’90s and a black tank top that expertly showed off his biceps. I approve of his fashion choices, and I approve of him toting around his lady’s red Mansur Gavriel bag.
Holmes and Yarmosky are relatively new: They were first seen together at a screening of The Invite in East Hampton earlier this month, where they held hands and looked altogether giddy. On Tuesday, they were seen attending a Soho Sessions concert, where they again held hands, hugged, and kissed while being serenaded by Sienna Spiro.
“Katie and Jason looked so happy after dinner, walking together, hugging, smiling at each other, and patting each other on the back,” a source told People. “Jason even gently opened the car door for her to get in. They looked so happy and in love.”
While they seemingly come from two different worlds, a separate source said Holmes and Yarmosky met at a dinner before deciding to follow it up with a date because “she finds him interesting.” “Katie has always been drawn to people who are creative,” the source added. “She loves being around people who are passionate about what they do. She enjoys learning and experiencing new things.”
I also love experiencing new things — if “new things” means making out around town with an artist who may or may not at some point make me his muse. Anyway, congrats to them. Glad someone is having a wet hot summer.
