The best of the best in the WNBA are in Chicago for All-Star weekend.
The action begins Friday with two events: the new Shooting Stars competition and the return of the three-point contest.
Here are the complete results from both events.
Four teams that each feature a WNBA legend, an active player, and a high school prospect will compete in this new competition. Teams will have 70 seconds to shoot from seven different spots around the floor. The two best teams after the first round will go head-to-head in a final round to determine the winner.
First Round
Washington: Elena Delle Donne and Shakira Austin: 39 points
Seattle: Lauren Jackson and Flau’jae Johnson: 26 points
Dallas/Detroit: Deanna “Tweety” Nolan and Jessica Shepard: 20 points
Minnesota: Rebekkah Brunson and Courtney Williams: 19 points
Final Round
Washington: Elena Delle Donne and Shakira Austin: 31
Seattle: Lauren Jackson and Flau’jae Johnson: 24
Six players will compete in this classic event. Shooters will move around the perimeter of the three-point line, shooting from five racks with five balls each. Four of the racks have normal balls, worth one point each, while one rack has money balls worth two points each. Players will also have a chance to shoot from two “From the Logo” spots, with those baskets each worth three points. The top two shooters from the first round will advance to a head-to-head final round.
