Wrexham news: Josh Windass to miss Leeds United test

Wrexham’s second game in the US is against Liverpool at New York’s iconic Yankee Stadium on Thursday, 30 July (00:30 BST).

They round off the tour against Parkinson’s former club Sunderland at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania – the home state of Wrexham co-owner Rob Mac – on Sunday, 2 August (17:00 BST).

Despite previously touring the US in addition to travelling to Australia and New Zealand in pre-season a year ago, Parkinson says Wrexham will not allow themselves to take their trip to the US for granted.

“It’s amazing. We never take it for granted and we feel very privileged to be here,” he said of the tour.

“A lot of the players haven’t been on a US tour with us, as we changed a lot of them last summer, and it’s great to be able to bring them here.

“The facilities we have trained at have been fantastic these last few days, and obviously we’re going to another great stadium. Why would you not be looking forward to a day like that?”
