The sports comedy stars Jake Johnson as a country-club tennis pro who works for his father (Ed Harris) and has gone from taking on Andy Roddick to teaching 9-year-olds. ‘Exit 8’
Based on a video game, the sci-fi thriller is excellently maddening and surprisingly emotional. Kazunari Ninomiya stars as a young man desperately trying to leave a seemingly endless Japanese subway station. The only way out? Three seasons of the coming-of-age “Heartstopper” series followed the evolving relationship of Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie (Joe Locke), and “Forever” finishes their big-hearted story. Like sugary breakfast cereal in movie form, the action adventure admirably commits to the outrageous fantasy world of the 1980s toy/cartoon franchise. Nicholas Galitzine stars as Prince Adam – and his buff alter ego He-Man – who returns to his homeland of Eternia to reunite with old friends and battle evil, over-the-top Skeletor (Jared Leto).

‘Mortal Kombat II’
In the bloody sequel – based on the popular video game, of course – Karl Urban debuts as Johnny Cage, a washed-up martial-arts movie star who gets picked to defend Earth in an otherworldly fighting tournament. Adeline Rudolph also plays an integral role as warrior princess Kitana in the flick full of crazy moves and extremely gory finishes.

‘Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie’
Like “Back to the Future” meets “Jackass,” the scrappy Canadian comedy stars Matt Johnson and Jay McCarrol as best buds who form a band in 2008 so they can play at a Toronto music club. When they still haven’t played there 17 years later, the two go back in a time-traveling RV and run it back, this time with existential crises aplenty.

‘Obsession’
In this gory and gonzo take on the “monkey’s paw” trope – and one of the best movies so far this year – Bear (Michael Johnston) is a lovelorn guy who uses a mysterious trinket to wish his co-worker Nikki (Inde Navarrette) would love him. She shows him a whole lot of adoration, all right, to a deeply unsettling and unhinged degree.

‘Pressure’
Based on a true story, the weather thriller tackles the intense days leading up to D-Day. With storms threatening the Normandy landing, Scottish meteorologist James Stagg (Andrew Scott) has to give an important forecast to Allied commander Dwight D. Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser) about whether to go forward or delay and risk losing the war.

’72 Hours’
Kevin Hart stars in the comedy as a 40-year-old ad man who gets accidentally added to a group text and invited to a three-day bachelor party in Miami by a group of 20-somethings.
