Riot Games & Piece Of Magic To Bring Valorant & League Of Legends Tournaments To Big Screen

Amsterdam-based multi-territory distributor Piece of Magic Entertainment (POM) and Riot Games have announced plans to bring two major esports tournaments live to cinemas in Europe this fall.

Under their longstanding partnership, POM will oversee live theatrical screenings in nine European territories of the 2025 Valorant Champions Grand Final in Paris on October 5.

This will be followed by live screenings in more than 30 territories across Europe on November 9 of the League of Legends World Championship Finals, taking place in Chengdu, China,

POM and Riot Games have been working together since 2018, to build on the growing success and appetite for live esport events, whilst showcasing the power of live cinema to unite fans and give these brands an exciting, interactive way to gather the gaming community together.

“Our longstanding partnership with Riot Games has been instrumental in building esports as a growing category in cinemas. By broadcasting the inals live onto the big screen, we’re giving fans a unique way to experience these defining moments together, in real time, inside the cinema,” said POM founder and CEO Caspar Nadaud.

He added that alongside the screening experience, Riot Games and Piece of Magic Entertainment were also planning to host exclusive flagship events in key territories, bringing the action off-screen, with live celebrations featuring limited-edition giveaways, cosplay moments, interactive games and interactive photo opportunities, designed to further immerse fans in the energy of the tournaments.

Established in 2017, Piece of Magic Entertainment (POM) is specialized in releasing niche titles in multiple territories, whether that be on a small scale on a handful of screens or branching out to reach thousands of screens across more than 130 countries.

Alongside live events such as esports tournaments, POM also has expertise in concerts and concert films by world-renowned artists, such as Taylor Swift’s The Official Release Party of a Showgirl.

Other notable releases include award-winning nature movie Ocean with David Attenborough, and the iconic Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One, as well as hit music documentaries such as Becoming Led Zeppelin.

Its subsidiary POM Anime has launched titles such as Demon Slayer the Movie: Mugen Train, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and DAN DA DAN: Evil Eye in cinemas.
