The driver of a car fled the scene after being involved in a collision with a motorcycle carrying three teenagers.
The incident took place on Sunday morning at 4.40am at Llanthewy Road in Newport.
Gwent Police and the ambulance service attended the scene and the three teenagers were taken to hospital.
Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A police spokesman said: “We received reports of a road traffic collision on Llanthewy Road, Newport, at around 4.40am on Sunday, July 26.
“The collision involved a motorcycle and a car with the car reportedly leaving the scene.
“Officers attended along with personnel from South Wales Ambulance Service.
“Three teenagers, believed to have been travelling on the motorcycle, have been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“The road remains closed at this time as officers continue to carry out their inquiries.
