MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol arrested and charged a man accused of leading a trooper on a chase.
According to the affidavit, on July 26, at approximately 11:20 pm, while conducting traffic patrol operations in Shelby County, a trooper spotted a red Chevy Corvette do a burnout in the roadway near Airways Boulevard and Park Avenue.
The trooper initiated a traffic stop, but the driver, later identified as Devin Jackson, refused to slow down.

The affidavit says that Jackson was driving recklessly, running red lights, and crossing lanes of traffic before finally disappearing out of the trooper’s sight.
A day later, the state trooper took to social media to try and find clues on Jackson’s whereabouts.
After searching Facebook, the trooper was able to find a profile linked to Jackson, showing the same red corvette he was driving during the pursuit.
Upon further investigation, Jackson was taken into custody and is now facing charges for evading arrest, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, speeding, and failure to exercise due care.
