Love Island fans have been left stunned after discovering that Lorenzo’s dad Oz reportedly has celebrity connections

ITV Love Island viewers have been left gobsmacked upon discovering that Lorenzo’s family boasts numerous celebrity connections, thanks to his “famous” father.
The Love Island finale is just around the corner, with one couple set to be crowned the 2026 champions on Monday, July 27. It’s been a rollercoaster series thus far, packed with explosive incidents, heated confrontations and plenty of tears.
However, away from the on-screen drama and turmoil, Love Island fans have only recently unearthed that Lorenzo’s dad actually has ties to the world of fame.
Audiences were first introduced to the star’s parents when they made an appearance on the spin-off show Aftersun, sharing their views on their son’s antics, reports OK!.

They also featured during the friends and family day, becoming emotional upon reuniting. Business owner Lorenzo has quickly become a popular figure on the show, thanks to his relaxed demeanour and witty remarks.
But it turns out he has links to quite a few people, including some well-known faces. Lorenzo’s father Oz is reportedly a former celebrity bodyguard, having worked with stars such as Danny Dyer and ex-Islander Ekin-Su.
These days, he trains MMA fighters and works as a doorman at the celebrity haunt Sheesh, a restaurant frequented by past Islanders and other famous personalities.
Photos circulating on social media depict Lorenzo’s dad posing with Ne-Yo. It remains unclear whether Lorenzo himself has personal connections with the celebrities his father has encountered, but it’s possible their paths may have crossed occasionally.
Fans were stunned to discover this information as one person wrote on X: “Lorenzos dad has connections to past islanders no wonder production love him.”
Another penned: “You would think Lorenzo and his dad come from two different worlds. I was shocked.”

A fourth admitted: “Winning the show plus those industry connections? That’s a strong combination.”
Commenting on one TikTok video, one person said: “I knew I recognised his dad from somewhere… I thought I was going crazy for recognising his b***** dad but must have been from Sheesh when I was there.”
According to the Sun, Lorenzo’s dad has been working behind the scenes for his son as an insider said: “Oz knows everyone and he’s already been chatting to agents that he knows through working at Sheesh and his years as a celeb bodyguard to sound them out ahead of Lorenzo’s departure from the villa.”
Away from the show, Lorenzo owns his own clothing brand, Palmera, which sells luxury men’s clothing. According to the website, Palmera is “a premium menswear fashion brand born out of a desire to celebrate the rich and vibrant culture of the Mediterranean”.
