(CNN) – More than 12,000 pounds of smoked bacon from Canada have been recalled due to an import violation.
Maple Leaf Foods Inc. is recalling 12,036 pounds of its not-ready-to-eat bacon because the bacon was imported into the U.S. without reinspection.

The affected brands are Royale Natural Applewood Smoked All Natural Uncured Bacon, as well as Top Valu Uncured Hardwood Smoked Bacon.
The products included in the recall are 12-ounce packages with various sell-by dates.
The Agriculture Department said they were distributed to retailers in Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
According to the notice, no illnesses have been reported.
Customers who have any of the recalled bacon are advised to throw it away or return it to the retailer where they bought it for a refund.
