Local lottery player wins $2 million with scratcher

MARTINEZ, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A local scratch-off lottery player has won millions of dollars, while players in Screven and Lincoln counties won big prizes, too.

The $2 million Jackpots Galore scratch-off ticket was purchased July 24 at Junior Food Store, 500 Flowing Wells Road in Martinez.

Another local player won $150,000 in the July 25 Fantasy 5 drawing by matching all five winning numbers. The ticket was purchased at Short Stop, 1480 Millen Highway in Sylvania.

Also, a lucky Georgia Lottery player in Lincolnton won $10,000 playing Keno! on July 25 through the Georgia Lottery mobile app.

Bigger prizes possible

Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to an estimated $800 million ($344.2 million cash option) while Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot has increased to an estimated $663 million ($290.4 million cash option).

The next Mega Millions drawing is Tuesday, July 28 at 11 p.m. ET. The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday, July 29 at 11 p.m. ET.
