Andy Newton Horse Racing NAP Tip Today (Wednesday 29th July, 2026)

4:10 Goodwood BOW ECHO (NAP)

Bow Echo has already trumped Gstaad twice this season and I’ll take him to make it three.

Last time he only just got the job done in the St James’s Palace Stakes, but life wasn’t easy in that race – having to come very wide.

Meaning that short-head win can certainly be upgraded.

A 43-day break would have readied him again for this and despite Opera Ballo a big player, Bow Echo also gets a handy 8lbs from the Godolphin horse.

I’ll take Bow Echo to ‘repeat’ his winning run.

Today’s Other ‘Muggy Favs’ Lucky 15 Horse Racing Tips (Wednesday 29th July, 2026)

5:55 Leicester COAT OF RED

Looks a bit of a two-horse battle here with the pick and Fairy Well.

But the slight nod goes to the Crisford runner, who was a fair 4th (of 9) on debut at Goodwood in May.

Has had plenty of time to get over that run and the form has been advertised a few times since with winners coming out of that contest.

David Probert rides, and so even though the Chapple-Hyam runner is fearer, Coat can paint the town ‘red’ today.

6:50 Sandown LANCASTER TOWER

Many unknowns here in this 2yold race, but what we do know is the Gosden yard have done okay with their newcomers this season.

This Royal runner is a well-bred Kingman colt who is expected to be ready to rumble first time out.

The Gosden yard also won this race with the useful Oxagon last season and head here in overall good form in the last 14 days (37%).

Of the rest, with a 57% SR with his 2yolds at Sandown, the Owen Burrows-trained King High could be the one to ‘trump’ the pick if not good enough.

8:10 Leicester CLOCKER (NB)

Won last time out at Hamilton and even though that was by only a short-head it was a gutsy run and can go in again.

Has also only had five career runs so should have more to come now she’s got her head in front.

Up 3lbs looks fair and should also improve for the extra furlong today.

Clocker is the call to find the right fractions here.
