MENASHA, Wis. (WBAY) – Storm debris removal and household garbage collection will continue in Menasha on Sunday, Aug. 2, according to the City of Menasha Police Department.
Residents in designated brush collection areas should have vehicles moved off the street by 6 a.m. to allow crews to safely access brush and tree debris piles. Streets where crews are actively working will be temporarily closed and will reopen once collection is completed. If vehicles remain on a street, crews will not be able to access the debris and it will not be collected.
Two separate collection zones
Two maps designate the collection areas:
- Pink-highlighted areas are designated for debris removal.
- Green-highlighted areas are designated for garbage pickup.
Residents in green-highlighted areas are also asked to move vehicles off the street by 6 a.m. to allow collection crews to work efficiently.
Volunteers canvassing both zones
Volunteers will continue going through both the pink- and green-highlighted areas Sunday to help residents move storm debris and bagged household garbage from yards or porches to the curb ahead of collection.
Volunteers will not enter homes but will have garbage bags available to distribute.
What will be collected
Sunday’s household garbage collection is intended for the following items placed in plastic garbage bags at the curb:
- Water-damaged belongings
- Spoiled food
- Diapers
- Everyday household garbage
