Vogue Williams thought Spencer Matthews was a “gobs****” before they first met.
The model-turned-TV presenter – who is currently expecting her fourth child with Spencer – admitted she formed an opinion of him after seeing him on reality TV show Made In Chelsea but she changed her mind after getting to know him while they were filming snow sports series The Jump together.
During an episode of her Vogue and Amber podcast, she was asked if she’s ever had an opinion on a celebrity which has subsequently changed and Vogue replied: “Well, yes, Spen. Before I met him, I was like: ‘Oh God, that gobsh*** on the show [Made In Chelsea]. That’s honestly what I thought before I met him. I heard he was on The Jump when I was doing it.
“I literally remember being like: ‘Arghh’ and then I got on with him like a house on fire from the day that I met him and he was nothing like what I thought he would be like.”
Vogue added: “He was really sound and really funny and charming and nice. And from then I was like: ‘God I really shouldn’t judge people that I don’t know because I probably end up liking them’.”
Vogue, 40, married Spencer in 2018 and they welcomed their first child, son Theodore, that same year before going on to add two more kids, Gigi and Otto, to their brood with a fourth on the way.
The model previously admitted she thought Spencer was a “sociopath” but changed her mind about him. She told The Sun newspaper: “I kind of met him with a preconceived idea, and I was like: ‘I’m not going to like him’ because I thought he was a sociopath.
“But after I met him, I loved his personality straight away … he was so sound, but I was being really good at being single and I wanted to stay single, so I thought: ‘He’s going to be a really good friend’ – that’s the first thing I thought.”
Vogue went on to reveal she wants her kids to embrace their Irish heritage and she tries to make sure they spend as much time in her homeland as possible.
She told the publication: “I like to take the kids home as much as I can – I want them to have friends in Ireland, so that they always want to go back, and they enjoy spending time there.
“I want them to know Irish phrases if they can. They got the free Irish passports, so they’ve got to work for it a little bit. They wouldn’t give Spenny one and he was raging.”
