Biggest global opening for ScreenX and 4DX formats combined at $31M. Broken out that’s $14.4M global for ScreenX, for which Brand New Day was shot, and $17M global for 4DX. Domestic for ScreenX, also a record, was $7M ahead of Super Mario Galaxy‘s $2.7M, while 4DX’s opening frame was $5.2M.
Biggest Dolby Cinema opening weekend domestically at $11M+, along with the biggest per-screen average in Dolby Cinema history at $63,000, and the highest presales ever for the large-format exhibitor with nearly two-thirds of available tickets sold for opening weekend before Thursday previews began
