Leicester City are on course to sign Ipswich Town winger Wes Burns, who is set to undergo a medical with the club.
Leicester City are rebuilding after relegation from the Championship and are starting to pick up their summer recruitment drive. Two new players are set to join LCFC, with Ipswich Town favourite Wes Burns among them, according to reporter Mike McGrath.
The 31-year-old winger is set to undergo a medical with the Foxes ahead of his proposed move. He will bring serious pedigree to the King Power Stadium, having won three promotions during his time at Portman Road.
Also set to join is Admir Bristic, a 23-year-old Bosnian striker who plays in Slovenia with NK Olimpija. At present, it is not clarified whether these will be loans or permanent deals for the League One side.

When it comes to EFL football, Burns has been there and done that. Alongside two Championship promotions, he has risen from League One too – a division in which he has played a whopping 260 times.
The Welshman will bring serious pedigree and experience to the Leicester City ranks in a league he has starred in before. Now, dropping to the third tier for the first time since 2023, it will be hoped his exposure at Championship and Premier League level means he can really stand out for Russell Martin‘s side.
Burns’ combination of ability and experience will see him cut a key figure. He can emerge as a leader in this new dressing room while serving as a valuable source of goals and assists on the right.
He has a year left on his contract with Ipswich Town. If LCFC are to sign him permanently, it will likely require a fee.

With Bristic set to join alongside Burns, Leicester City are casting a wide net. The focus is on domestic additions, of course, but a move for the Slovenian forward shows they’re looking to make gains in lesser used markets as well.
This can be a shrewd method for LCFC, whose recruitment in recent years has massively contributed to their downfall. Perhaps a new way of thinking can be central to their bid to return to their previous heights as soon as possible.
Burns and Bristic are on course to be the club’s sixth and seventh signings of the window to date.
So far, Conor Chaplin, Alex McCarthy and Liam Cullen have arrived on permanent deals. Tommy Watson is in on a statement loan deal, while Manchester City teenager Christian McFarlane has also joined on a temporary basis.
