Salad and Go, the drive-thru chain that started in Arizona more than a decade ago, is closing all stores on Wednesday.
The company made the announcement in an email sent to customers on Tuesday evening, citing “sustained pressure on consumer demand, past strategic growth challenges and rising costs.”
“Today, Salad and Go announced that all Salad and Go locations will close permanently, with final guest service on Aug. 5, 2026,” the email said.

Salad and Go expanded to dozens of locations in Arizona, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. The company closed all Texas and Oklahoma locations in January. According to its website on Tuesday, it was still operating more than 60 locations in Phoenix, Tucson and Nevada.
Salad and Go founders Tony and Roushan Christofellis, a husband and wife team, opened the first store in the Valley in 2013 and left the business after a disagreement with their private equity partner.
“Ultimately, we did not see eye to eye with the private equity investors on business and growth strategy and we stepped down, exiting completely from Salad and Go by 2021,” the founders said in a Facebook post earlier this year.
The couple went on to found Angie’s Food Concepts in 2022, a series of drive-thru restaurants serving lobster rolls, among other items.
