Barcelona target Fisnik Asllani’s move to RB Leipzig very close

According to German newspaper BILD, Asllani’s move to Leipzig is now “imminent” and the player has already been authorized by Hoffenheim to stay home and not travel to Austria for the club’s preseason camp.

Only final contract details need to be sorted before Leipzig activate Asllani’s €29 million release clause, and a deal will be made official as soon as Lepzig sell one of their forwards to make room for the new striker.

Asllani and his representatives made it clear they were interested in a move to Camp Nou, but Barça remain focused on Julián Álvarez and seem to be looking at other alternatives if the Argentina forward is not signed.

Benfica striker Vangelis Pavlidis is the latest name added to the list, while Dusan Vlahovic is still dreaming of a move to Barça and is willing to lower his salary demands. Victor Osimhen seems on his way out of Galatasaray but the Turkish club reportedly wants over €100 million, and the wait goes on to see who Barça’s number nine will be next season.
