Adam Sandler’s ‘Grown Ups 3’ begins production for Netflix

Aug. 6 (UPI) — Netflix announced the start of production on Grown Ups 3 on Thursday. They shared a cast photo on the streaming service’s Instagram with the message “The gang’s all back.”
Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, Salma Hayek Pinault, Maya Rudolph, Maria Bello, Rob Schneider and more return. New to the cast are Bailee Madison, Julie Bowen and Deon Cole.
Grown Ups was released in theaters in 2010 and its sequel in 2013. Sandler began making movies with Netflix in 2015 and that has included the sequel Happy Gilmore 2.
The third Grown Ups picks up with everyone’s kids grown up and moved out, so the adults “go on the ultimate adventure,” according to Netflix’s Tudum. The late Cameron Boyce, who played Sandler and Hayek’s son, is not being recast according to the Netflix announcement.
Steve Buscemi, Shaquille O’Neal, Jackie Sandler, Colin Quinn, Tim Meadows, Cheri Oteri, Ellen Cleghorne, Nick Swardson, Sunny and Sadie Sandler also return.
