Lala Kent Reflects on Emotional ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Season 11
Lala, whose real name is Lauren Elyse Burningham, spoke to Entertainment Tonight about her experience filming season 11.
“It still weighs heavy on me,” she admitted. “I was dealing with a lot of foreign emotions at that time. I wish I could have pinpointed how I was feeling in real time, because then I feel like I could have had more productive conversations with people. And instead, I just tried to push everything away and it was an explosion,” she explained, adding that she felt “anger, anxiety, and depression over everything that happened.”
During the season 11 finale, Lala went on a rant about Ariana Madix refusing to film with her ex-boyfriend, Tom Sandoval — a moment she now regrets. “It was done. It was over. And I told myself going into that night I was going to fall back and I was going to enjoy my night. And it didn’t go that way. I wish I shut the (expletive) up,” she said.
Lala admitted she hasn’t completely made peace with how things unfolded. “I think it’s still work that I’m going to have to do for a while, because it shifted everything for me,” she shared. “It altered friendships, it altered just a very happy place for me. I never experienced that before. It was humbling, but it also felt like karma.”

Lala also reflected on her earliest days on the show, opening up about her insecurities and wild behavior during her debut on season 4. On the Sept. 29 episode of her podcast “Untraditionally Lala,” she shared, “I wish I could go back and be that (expletive) cool again. She did not give one (expletive). I watch it and I cringe and I’m like, ‘Oh wow, you’re committed. You’re committed to the bit.’”
Despite her bold on-screen persona, Lala admitted she was “so insecure” at the time. “I was broken out, and I really had to fake confidence,” she said. “I faked it until I made it, and then we went a little too confident. Then the head was in the clouds. I would have told her, ‘I know you’re having a great time.’ Maybe I could have told her to not hit the bottle as hard, because I really wish I could have just a drink with someone. Instead I’m like, ‘How’s that drink? I’m gonna hit a meeting.’ It’s all good though.”
In November 2024, Bravo announced that “Vanderpump Rules” would return for season 12 with an all-new cast of SUR-vers working for Lisa Vanderpump. These days, Lala’s plate is full — between hosting her podcast, building her brand as an influencer, and raising her daughters Sosa and Ocean.
She also addressed recent tension with Scheana Shay during her Entertainment Tonight interview, saying, “My truest hope, because we’ve hit a few bumps in the road, is that we can keep this between the two of us and hash it out when we’re more in alignment, because we’re not right now.”
Despite speculation that she might replace Scheana on “The Valley,” Lala downplayed the rumors and praised her friend. “She’s iconic. You think about Bravo, and she’s one of the top people you think about,” she said.
Fans will next see Lala Kent on “The Valley” season 3, which is set to air on Bravo in 2026.
