Ogden police respond to ‘active incident’ at Ben Lomond High School; schools on lockdown

OGDEN – Police are responding to what they called an “active incident” at Ben Lomond High School Tuesday afternoon, prompting a lockdown of nearby schools in the area, Ogden police announced on social media.

“Several nearby schools are on lockdown as a precaution. First responders are on scene,” the post reads.

Details about the incident at 1080 9th Street were not immediately available, but people are being asked to avoid the area to allow first responders to work safely and efficiently.

Police said the Ogden School District will provide updates for families and parents.

Earlier on Tuesday, a boy from Washington was detained on suspicion of calling in a bomb threat to Ben Lomond High School last week.
