Brad Marchand makes T.J. Oshie “blush” on live TV

Last night, Brad Marchand entered his 17th season in the NHL. Even though he’s now 37 years old, he just can’t help himself when he gets a chance to chirp someone. Ahead of last night’s season opener, Marchand made T.J. Oshie blush in the TV studio.

Ever since Brad Marchand made his NHL debut back in 2009, he has made a name for himself not only as a great hockey player but also as a world-class chirper. No one is safe—Marchand jokes with everyone: opponents, coaches, and broadcasters. That’s something T.J. Oshie got to experience firsthand last night.

Just couldn’t help himself

T.J. Oshie enjoyed a long career as a player, winning one Stanley Cup with the Washington Capitals. But as a broadcaster, Oshie is still getting warm in his role. Before the Florida Panthers’ season opener at home against the Chicago Blackhawks, Marchand joined the ESPN studio, with Oshie alongside Steve Levy and Mark Messier. When Marchand saw Oshie in the studio, he just couldn’t help himself.

After Oshie introduced himself, Marchand started smiling, and just a few seconds later, he fired:
“I’m happy for you. Finally, they got a good-looking guy on the panel up there. It’s nice to have someone new to look at,” Marchand said, sending the studio into fits of laughter.
”Marchy making me blush on TV,” Oshie jokingly wrote after on X.

The Panthers won the game 3–2 and will play the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night.
