Darts star Cameron Menzies revealed Rangers’ struggles have put him off practice – and compared his affection for the Ibrox side like a toxic ex girlfriend.
The Scottish oche star stormed into the second round of the World Grand Prix with a fine 2-0 win over Chris Dobey and will face former world champion Rob Cross.
The Ayrshire ace admitted Russell Martin’s turbulent spell at his beloved club has left him in a huff.
Speaking after his win over Dobey, Menzies said: “It doesn’t affect my game but it affects my attitude in practice! I just sit there in a huff, especially this year. It’s been terrible. It’s a team I love, it’s a big part of my life.
“Whenever I get a chance I try to watch them even in Germany I pay to watch it on my phone. At this moment in time, it’s a bad part of my life because it’s not going well.
“It’s like one of those toxic ex-girlfriends, just get rid of them but you can’t help but keep in touch.”
