IND vs WI Live Score, 2nd Test Match Day 1: India reached 94 for 1 at lunch on day one of the second Test against the West Indies, with Yashasvi Jaiswal (40*) and Sai Sudharsan (16*) at the crease.
KL Rahul started confidently, showcasing his touch with a mix of aggression and control. He had earlier smashed a six over deep mid-wicket off spinner Khary Pierre and punctuated his innings with stylish backfoot punches through covers. However, Rahul fell for 38 to a brilliant delivery from left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican. Anticipating Rahul would come down the track, Warrican pulled the length back, and Rahul’s dab turned sharply, beating his outside edge. Wicketkeeper Tevin Imlach completed a clean stumping.

Jaiswal, who had been dismissed cheaply in the previous Test, played with poise and technique. He defended deliveries outside off-stump and played selective drives, gradually accelerating as he got set. His straight drive off Anderson Phillip and a perfectly timed steer between gully and point underlined his class. He also attacked the spinners, notably executing a full-blooded sweep off Roston Chase.
Sudharsan complemented Jaiswal with three crisp boundaries, including an eye-catching on-drive and square cut, showing intent while keeping control. The Indian pair ensured the scoreboard ticked steadily, negating the West Indies bowlers’ efforts on a track conducive to batting. India’s start provided a platform for building a substantial first-innings total in the second Test.
