WWE Star Makes In-Ring Return On SmackDown With Old Entrance Theme

WWE
A WWE star returned to in-ring competition for the first time in four months on today’s SmackDown in Perth, Australia.
Acting as the last stop before WWE Crown Jewel Premium Live Event, today’s SmackDown emanated from the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.
As has been customary each week since Sami Zayn won the United States Championship on August 29, the Canadian star held a special US Title Open Challenge in Perth, a challenge that was answered by none other than Shinsuke Nakamura.
Nakamura, who has been spotted watching Zayn from the shadows during backstage segments in recent weeks, made his entrance with his fan favorite WWE theme song ‘The Rising Sun’, as opposed to his darker ‘Sinister Samurai’ theme introduced late last year.
While Nakamura’s titantron was similar to his ‘Sinister Samurai’ persona, the Japanese star didn’t have the eye makeup or mask that he wore during that spell of his career.
The match between the old NXT rivals was an expectedly back-and-forth affair, but was interrupted prematurely by the returning Tama Tonga, who dragged Nakamura out of the ring before attacking Zayn in the ring, along with Solo Sikoa’s MFTs Talla Tonga, Tonga Loa & JC Mateo.
