Ivan Demidov Steals the Spotlight with Highlight-Reel Play for the Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens have taken the lead again (now 3-1 even!) thanks to a superb team play finished by Oliver Kapanen.
But it’s mainly Ivan Demidov who deserves much of the credit for this sequence.It all started with a precise breakout by Lane Hutson before Demidov confidently entered the offensive zone with control.The young Russian prodigy then spotted Alex Newhook perfectly, sliding a pinpoint pass that completely destabilized the Detroit Red Wings’ defense.
First, here’s the goal in question, and I invite you to pay attention to the young Russian’s pass:
Newhook only had to pass it back to Kapanen, who was very opportunistic:
