@JoseLAL23: “Luka Doncic is going for MVP. Austin Reaves is going for All-Star. Gabe Vincent is going for Sixth Man of the Year. And you… oh, where do I even begin? The King, the kid from Akron, the GOAT. Hope you’re doing well and getting some rest. We’ve got unfinished business, #23. Let’s get it. 👑💪”

Vincent is going into his third year as a member of the Lakers.

As for James, he is still one of the best players in the NBA at 40.
He is going into his eighth year playing for the franchise, but will miss the start of the 2025-26 season due to injury.
Via Anthony F. Irwin of ClutchPoints: “Gabe torching the Mavs is hilarious but also him looking the way he has this preseason is pretty important with LeBron out through mid-November, let alone for trade reasons”
The Lakers are coming off a year where they lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs (in five games).
They will play their first game of the new season on October 21 when they host Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors in Los Angeles.
