The 1% Club made its return to TV on Saturday night with a bang.

Lee Mack returned to host the fifth series of the hit ITV show that has quickly become one of the nation’s favourites.

The show pits 100 players against a series of increasingly difficult logic based questions.

They start with a question that 90% of members of the British public that were surveyed could answer, and go all the way to the final question that just 1% could get right.

On the first episode of the new series, three people made it all the way to the end.

All three chose to play on and answer, rather than taking a share of the £10,000 consolation prize.

They were playing for a whopping £93,000, but can you answer the tricky final question?

The 1% question was: “Look at te image below. Beginning at the start each time, LLA=A, and RRH=H. What word is represented by the following?”

In a move not seen very often on the show, all of the players in the studio answered correctly.

They shared the prize and took home £31,000 each.

But have you cracked it yet? Contestants in the studio only get 30 seconds on the clock to work it out.

We will be revealing the answer below, so if you need more time just don’t scroll down.

Host Lee Mack revealed the answer was: “BADGE.” It was explained: “L and R represent Left and Right and dictate where you go at each junction.”

As some viewers at home said it was the easiest question they had seen on the show, others were totally baffled.

One said: “Absolutely no way would I have gotten that 1% question #stumped #The1PercentClub.”

A second wrote: “eh?! To the 1% question. def too tired to attempt that. Congratulations to the winners #The1PercentClub.”

And a third added: “I don’t understand the question so 5% for me #the1percentclub.”
