Strictly Come Dancing fans were left amused as Claudia Winkleman mimicked the infamous audience cam moment from a Coldplay gig.
During Saturday’s live episode (October 18), presenter Tess Daly welcomed George Clarke and his professional dance partner Alexis Warr, who were set to perform the tango to Coldplay’s Viva La Vida.
However, before their routine commenced, Claudia and the show’s conductor, David Arch, playfully parodied the viral kiss cam incident that occurred at a Coldplay concert. The camera caught a man and a woman engrossed in the music and looking comfortable, before they tried to duck out of view.
Tess announced: “Next on the floor it’s George and Alexis, and tonight they are dancing a tango to a Coldplay classic.

“And in honour of Coldplay, I thought we should get out our very own audience cam and see what’s happening in the studio tonight.”
The camera then switched to Claudia on the balcony being embraced by David. The duo quickly realise they are on camera and attempt to shield their faces and disappear from sight, reports Wales Online.
The gag elicited a response from Strictly viewers online who found it amusing. One viewer posted on X: “Not Strictly recreating the Coldplay kiss cam moment! I need four to six business days to recover from this #Strictly.”
