REIGN FINAL – Reign 0, Silver Knights 2 – Lord, Guttman

The Ontario Reign (1-1-1-0) fell to the Henderson Silver Knights (1-1-1-0) Friday night by a final score of 2-0 in front of 6,468 at Toyota Arena. The Reign will host the Colorado Eagles on Sunday, Oct. 19th at 7 p.m. PST.
After a scoreless 40 minutes of play Tanner Lacynski gave the Silver Knights a 1-0 lead 70 seconds into the third period. Ontario was assessed two late penalties and Raphael Lavoie potted a five-on-three power-play score with 70 seconds left in regulation.

There was no score after the first period as each team had five shots. In the second period Henderson outshot Ontario 11-7 but the contest remained scoreless. The Reign had a five-on-three power-play in the early stages of the stanza for 1:13.
Tanner Lacynski broke through for the Silver Knights scoring an even strength unassisted goal 70 seconds into the third period. He located a loose puck in the right circle and spun around sending the puck into the back of the net. The Reign were assessed penalties at 16:51 and 17:45 sending the Silver Knight on a late five-on-three man advantage where Raphael Lavoie made it 2-0 with 70 seconds left in the contest from Luke Cormier and Jeremy Davies.
