What Delta Air Lines is saying about ground stop at Detroit Metro Airport (DTW)

ROMULUS, Mich. – Delta Air Lines released a statement about the ground stop at Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) on Friday morning.

UPDATE: Ground delay lifted, no active alerts at DTW

A computer issue sparked a ground stop that affected Delta flights on Friday morning. The ground stop was in effect until around 9 a.m. Friday, when it was changed to a “ground delay,” per the Federal Aviation Administration.

Delta flights to and from DTW are affected. Most Delta flights are delayed an average of 2 hours and 40 minutes, the FAA says.

Here is a statement from Delta:

Due to a connectivity outage in Detroit, Delta has issued a ground stop for all flights at DTW airport this morning. Delta teams are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, and customers should monitor the status of their flight via the Fly Delta app and Delta.com.
