A huge fire has engulfed a popular Ayrshire garden centre this morning.
Hayes Garden Land in Symington was ablaze in the early hours, bosses at the venue have confirmed.
Flames could be seen roaring above the roof of the complex, which includes a renowned cafe with firefighters at the scene.
A spokesperson posted on social media: “We regret to inform you that we will be CLOSED for the foreseeable future – the Garden Centre & Cafe have burned down.”
A family-run business that started in the Lake District, Peter Hayes and son Michael developed the site in Symington in 1988.
