‘Stranger Things’ stars Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo rate Indian household items as weapons – Watch

Stranger Things stars Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo humorously rated Indian household items as potential weapons against Vecna. While chappals and rolling pins offered limited utility, the actors found tiffin boxes and especially the pressure cooker to be surprisingly effective tools for battling the Upside Down’s threats. The finale is set to release on New Year’s Day. ‘Stranger Things 5′ has been all the craze recently, ever since the final season started rolling out in instalments. While the gang has Eleven, Eight, and now Will as the sorcerer to fight Vecna and the Mind Flayer, the team still needs weapons at hand. In a recent video, Finn Wolfhard, who plays the role of Mike, and Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson, rated random Indian household items and their effectiveness against Vecna.

Stranger Things 5 Volume 2 X Review: Fans divided over stellar performance and plot predictability
Chappals and tiffin boxes against Vecna
The first item was the quintessential desi blue and white chappal (slipper). While the item is iconic and found across all Indian households, the actors were not impressed with its prowess to beat Vecna up. Finn says that “There’s not much you can do with a pair of sandals other than whacking,” while Gaten tries to see the positive side by saying that you can easily run barefoot if you’re wearing these. The second item that came to be was the steel, layered tiffin box, which impressed both of the actors. Gaten ended up suggesting that they could hide grenades in such boxes. Once they discovered that the box is, in fact, layered, the other star joked about how it can store different types of grenades.
A rolling pin is perfect for tripping
Next comes the iconic belan (rolling pin). While it is a quintessential household item that is often makeshift for a weapon, the two lead stars had an even more creative use for it. Going for a more comical sense of use. The two started by saying that one would be able to trip Vecna on the rolling pin, while Finn went one step further. He said, “You could like trip Vecna, old school….like he comes in and you just start to roll his head.”
Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo channel their inner Quidditch players
As soon as the phool jhaadu and seekh ki jhaadu came into the frame, the two actors could not get enough. They channelled their Harry Potter energy and attempted to turn into Quidditch players, flying around the room. Finn even jokes about the size of the brooms, with the ‘Honor Society’ star laughing while flinging it around and saying, “Imagine if she grabs this one.”
The good old pressure cooker to the rescue
The last item of the day was the good old pressure cooker, which finally managed to impress the duo the most. They actively shared how this could be a great weapon against Vecna’s evil forces, with Finn saying, “This is like a great, a genuinely great weapon,” and Gaten adding, “It does say Hawkins on it.” The ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ star further adds that it can be used more creatively by saying, “Or you put some really hot food in here, and…,” while trailing off.
