New Year’s Eve air, fairy-tale characters in vivid performances across festive locations in Minsk

MINSK, 26 December (BelTA) – During school holidays and the week before the holidays various venues in Minsk offer a variety of entertainment to create a New Year’s Eve mood not only for children but also for adults.

From 25 December to 4 January at 17:30 and 20:00 young viewers and their parents will be able to watch the colorful performance Secrets of the New Year Mood on the stage located in Svobody Square in the Upper Town of Minsk.

According to the organizers, this year’s performance will be unusual, not like the one held every year. A projection has been prepared for the Upper Town concert hall. A large number of artists are involved in the production while displays will enable complete immersion into the fairy-tale atmosphere. The program promises to be bright and memorable.

From 25 December to 7 January, every day at 19:00 outside the Sports Palace one will be able to watch the performance “The secret of the New Year’s postcard”. Every day the animation and concert program attracts multiple Minsk residents and guests of the capital city.

The Christmas fair Kalyadny Kirmash will also be open here from 20 December through 11 January. The fair traditionally delights visitors with a variety of treats. Here you can find classic boiled corn, shashlik, solyanka as well as more unusual dishes such as trdelnik or Armenian fruchella. The fair has a total of more than 20 pavilions offering a wide variety of cuisines. And, of course, what fair would be complete without a mini-town of craftsmen? Here you can find a gift for every taste. You can also purchase a symbol of the coming year: a handmade horse in addition to a fluffy, fragrant New Year’s tree at a special New Year’s tree market.

Another stop on the festive route will be the courtyard in the Rakov Suburb (25 Rakovskaya Street) where the exuberant festive production New Year’s Stories of the Rakov Courtyard will be shown every day from 25 December to 4 January from 18:00 to 19:30.
