A search operation is currently taking place after reports of people entering the sea at Withernsea in East Yorkshire.
HM Coastguard said the incident was reported shortly after 15:00 GMT and a search involving a rescue helicopter and another aircraft was under way.
The search also involves coastguard rescue teams from Withernsea, Hornsea and Hull, as well as RNLI crews from Withernsea, Bridlington and Humber Rescue’s inshore lifeboat.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service, Humberside Police and Humberside Fire and Rescue are also in attendance.
