Agent drops Demond Williams Jr., cites ‘philosophical differences’

The latest turn in the Demond Williams Jr. saga has seen the star quarterback’s agent drop him.

Williams made headlines Tuesday night by announcing he was entering the transfer portal just four days after reportedly signing a contract to return to the UW Huskies. On Thursday morning, Wasserman Football president Doug Hendrickson shared a post on Instagram cutting ties with the 19-year-old Arizona native.

“I have made the decision to end my representation of Demond Williams Jr. effective immediately due to philosophical differences,” reads the statement from Hendrickson. “Demond is an incredible talent and we wish him and his family the best in their future endeavors.”

Hendrickson notably also is UW head coach Jedd Fisch’s agent.

Shortly after Hendrickson’s announcement, attorney Darren Heitner posted on social media that he’s been retained as legal counsel for Williams.

This post will be updated with additional details.
