A woman who caused mayhem in Popeyes after downing 12 triple vodkas admitted she was ‘steaming’ at the time.
Leah Witton, 30, threw chairs and refused to leave the fried chicken outlet in Exeter High Street.
“I’m drunk all right,” she told cops. “I’m f*****g steaming.”
She pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place when she appeared at the magistrates court.
The incident happened on November 14. A 999 call was made by security staff at the chicken chain who reported a woman throwing chairs.
Police arrested Witton after she left. She was shouting, swearing and screaming in an aggressive way, the court was told. It was clear she was drunk.
“I’ve had 12 triple vodkas, I’m drunk all right,” she said.
The defendant, of Queen Street, has 18 previous offences on her record, including being drunk and disorderly in May.
She was described as vulnerable and dealing with a troubled background. She has PTSD, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression and uses alcohol as a coping mechanism.
She is trying to turn her life around and wants to be a counsellor to help others.
Magistrates fined her £40 and ordered she pay £85 costs.
