Jenna Fischer Shares Emotional Update on ‘Finally’ Having Enough Hair to Style into a Bob After Cancer Treatment

Jenna Fischer, two years after revealing her diagnosis of with stage 1 triple-positive breast cancer, is showing off a new haircut.
The 51-year-old actress and star of “The Office” celebrated “finally” having enough hair and posted on social media.
“Thank you to my hair fairy @christikaycagle,” Fischer posted Sunday on Instagram. “She has been with me every step of the way on this journey. She helped me get wigs, built me 4 custom hats with hair, gave me my first pixie, designed tiny clip in extensions to help fill in the gaps for a photoshoot, helped me figure out how to deal with an all new texture (my hair grew back thicker and more coarse after chemo) and now here we are!”
The actress also had a message for other women battling cancer.
“I would google things like this all during chemo: When will my hair grow back? When will I have hair that looks intentional again?” she posted. “The whole thing was an exercise in patience and surrender.”
Back in 2024, Fischer, who played Pam Beesly in “The Office,” posted a message on Instagram in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
“Back in October 2023, I posted a photo of myself on Instagram preparing for my routine mammogram with a joking reminder to ‘take care of your ticking time bags’ a la Michael Scott. After inconclusive results on that mammogram due to dense breast tissue my doctor ordered a breast ultrasound,” she posted. “They found something in my left breast. A biopsy was ordered. Then, on December 1, 2023, I learned I had stage 1 triple positive breast cancer.”
