‘The Adding Machine’ names Off-Broadway cast

The New Group’s revival of Elmer L. Rice’s 1923 play, running at the Theatre at St. Clements from March, will feature four stage and screen favorites.
The New Group has named the cast and creative team of its spring production of The Adding Machine, running at the Theatre at St. Clement’s from March 24 to May 10. Opening night is April 14.
The cast includes Sarita Choudhury (And Just Like That…), Michael Cyril Creighton (Only Murders in the Building), Tony Award nominee Daphne Rubin-Vega (Rent), and Oscar nominee Jennifer Tilly (Bullets Over Broadway).
The show also features direction by Scott Elliott, scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Jeff Croiter, and sound design by Stan Mathabane.
Newly revised by Thomas Bradshaw, Elmer L. Rice’s 1923 satire The Adding Machine follows an ordinary, unfulfilled man named Mr. Zero, whose boss replaces him with a machine at work. He lashes out and goes on a wild journey to engineer his own fate anew.
