Atlanta Falcons Sign Malik Willis To Replace Michael Penix Jr

The Atlanta Falcons are going to be entering a difficult offseason for them to navigate as they need to find a new general manager and new head coach after firing Terry Fontenot, and Raheem Morris.
*Prediction*
With Atlanta having a new regime coming in, there also could be roster modifications coming, and one major thing surrounds the quarterback position. Michael Penix Jr. has been injury prone, and Kirk Cousins is seemingly on his way out this offseason.
The Falcons need a reset at the quarterback position, and a cost-effective move they can make to solve their quarterback issue is to sign Malik Willis in free agency.

Atlanta Falcons Sign Malik Willis to Replace Michael Penix Jr.
Malik Willis has started to turn around his career since joining the Green Bay Packers as the backup to Jordan Love. Willis has seen time as a starter when Love has missed time, and during that span he has raised his value and has showcased he has can be a starter in the NFL.
Over his two seasons with the Packers, Malik Willis has accumulated 972 yards and six touchdowns with no interceptions while adding on 261 rushing yards and three touchdowns while playing significant snaps in just five games.
When it comes to Malik Willis, he is just 26 years old still, and has showcased what his potential can be in the right offense. With his passing ability evolving and his dual-threat ability still being on display, he is going to be a prime free agent target for teams that need a new quarterback.
When it comes to the Falcons they need someone that has the upside just as Malik Willis does, and with having the offensive playmakers like Atlanta does with Drake London, Bijan Robinson, and Kyle Pitts it would be the ideal situation for Willis to land and propel the Falcons forward in the process for the 2026 season.
